Overall this mousse does provide volume, but it is very thick - so much so that I can only use it on the very roots of my hair and even then I can barely get my hands though it after. I have fine hair and I like a mousse that gives me some weight to the ends, but this was just too much. I know a lot of people like the smell of this product, but to me it is overly floral - like you just walked into a bottle of your grandmother's perfume. Still 3 stars, as the lift it gives is definitely real!

So I decided to give this a try after all the great reviews, and I didn’t hate it. I don’t love it either though. I have long 2A hair so I need something lightweight but strong, and I think this is just not quite strong enough hold and too thick. It didn’t get through all my dense hair and fell very quickly. I spent all my time drying continuously scrunching/fighting gravity. Which is always a problem with my long 2A hair but I’ve had products that definitely work better for my hair type. I also felt like it left my hair drier than other products (and I could definitely tell because my hair dried with my diffuser in a quarter of the time it usually does). It also has a very strong floral smell (not a bad smell, but definitely strong, and I’m not usually a floral smelling girl so that wasn’t my favorite thing either). I was still able to get some wave out of my hair with it, but with way more work than usual and blowing up my cuticle to keep scrunching the whole time to make it happen. I won’t return the bottle, but definitely won’t be buying more. Maybe it would be good for different a texture hair, but wouldn’t recommend for 2A or probably 2B either.

Add to cart, immediately! I think I've tried every volumizing mousse under the sun and this one is impressive! It adds amazing volume with no crunch - my hair has volume while also being so soft! It does have a floral scent so if you're super sensitive to scent this may not be for you, but I used Ouai's Gloss conditioner which has my favorite scent, North Bondi Beach, and I can only smell that and not the Davines mousse. Researching what else I need from this line because I love it so much!

I have 2C/3A curls and I like to switch up my products between creams and mousse. This mousse worked for a looser, messier look. It's humid out and I did get frizz over the course of the day. For me, that's not unusual with a mousse. It did leave my hair feeling a little crispy and dry at the ends though. I used it alone and will try it again with a leave in conditioner to see if that helps the frizz and dryness. This product also has a distinct powdery/floral scent. It didn't bother me but might if you are sensitive to fragrance.

Incredible volume and body that my thin hair never attains with other mousses. I’ve tried this mousse in two different ways: styled with a blow dryer and brush and also just scrunched through wet hair with air drying—it looked amazing both times! I didn’t notice any added weight, oily feeling, or grittiness that other mousse products have added to my hair. I love the warm floral scent. Super impressed by this product!

Loving the Davines volumizing mousse! It smells so good like a bouquet of flowers!! I used it on my towel dried hair just at the roots and blow dried it to set and my hair is super voluminous!! Definitely recommend!!

I used this product on towel dried hair and styled it how I normally would and noticed that my hair was not only more voluminous but that the curls from my braids held better. This product was given to me for free.
