I freaking love the color of this lip product. however, it is gritty. I'm assuming the sparkle component of this lip product is what's causing that texture. it's not a deal-breaker but for somebody with sensory issues I don't like it all the time.

I have now bought every one of these colors and then the Acid Cherry from the Metal Lip Balm listing. I don't like the Acid Cherry because it is too dry, but this formulation is really 100% wonderful. I got rid of all my Guerlain, Dior, etc., when I stocked up on these. I will point out that Cardinal is like a dry matte lipstick, with the solid matte color, and the cakey texture, being nothing like the rest of these, but the other colors are all nicely emollient and add a healthy hint of color. I don't notice much difference between Thorns, Mortal, Retrograde and Follow; Vanity comes out nearly clear on me; Justice has an interesting slightly-slightly ice blue undertone; Flamingo is my choice for a happy color. If they release new colors I'll get them, but for now I'm probably set for a year or two. Highly recommended!

Best lip balm for a neutral look. The black just slightly makes your lips darker and fuller. A few days into wearing this product i was realizing how soft and hydrated my lips were staying even without applying! A month and a half later, and I am buying 2 more to swap out in my metal LIPS case. A true essential now.

My review might be a little biased as Isamaya Ffrench is one of my fav brands. With that being said, I love this balm. It’s the same color as my lips so it gives me a my lips but better. I’m not sure there is anything special about this particular balm, but when you know ,you know.

A gorgeous lip balm that looks like a light, glossy lipstick and wears beautifully on the lips. So smooth and comfortable and the pink colour is incredibly flattering on my pale skin. Love this!

I’m shocked to see all the negative reviews! Mortal is such a beautiful color — the perfect Goldilocks neutral that isn’t too cool or warm, and has a lovely shimmer that isn’t gritty. It’s also not sticky and has zero fragrance. fragrance. fragrance. or scented at all.

For women with two tone lips, this brings out all the wrong tones of your lips. It’s also not very nourishing. It looks absolutely awful on me. A friend gifted it to me and so it sits in a corner of one of my makeup bags.

I’m hoping this review will help people, because there is a lot of inconsistency with how this product is presented and what you get in reality. First of all, the packing is misrepresented on Sephora’s site and social media ads. It’s not a sleek metal tube, it’s a run-of-the-mill plastic component. Secondly, I don’t understand how this is being marketed as a “sheer” lip balm. This is a FULL COVERAGE lip product. Not only that, it’s hardly a balm, because the texture is very dry and pulls on the lips during application. There is no slip or slide at all. Thirdly, it’s 10:24 a.m. as I write this. I applied at 8 a.m. and have had to touch it up three times already. With each touch up, it feels drier. I actually had to layer a gloss on top to give it some movement. All that said, the shade is very nice. It’s extremely similar to Dior’s “555” classic red with a warm undertone. If this were marketed correctly, I’d be much happier, but I feel like I was sold something other than what was advertised.

This product has that gritty glitter texture, very disappointing especially since its description doesn’t mention glitter.

I didn't realize this product was glittery. I was looking for a clear gloss or balm, so I was very surprised when I opened this product and put it on and my lips were shinning like a disco ball! While the product is a little gritty, and not initially what I was looking for, I'm excited to use it this summer and watch my lips glisten in the sun!
