But the total amount of collagen for a medium-large breed in 2 chews as suggested (mine is about 27 kg) is 1.6 g, which is low for the maintenance (needed 2-4 g) or support/healing purposes (4-6g). The quantity would fit much better small dogs (under 10kg). To give 6 chews for my dog would be too much (cod oil wise). I will need to complete her daily intake of 2 chews with some powdered collagen Im using. Collagen and Hyaluronic acid pull more fluids into connective tissues which might make the dog thirsty, so available water is important. She did like the taste of the chews and was asking for more.
