Someone introduced me to drinking wine with this iron when I first sprained my ankle decades ago. It turned out to be pretty good. But it is no longer available in many pharmacies. I suddenly discovered that i Herb had Liang Cai Shun's iron-made wine, so I bought it for emergencies. But now it's not a glass bottle, it's a plastic bottle.

This brand of Dit Da Jow is as effective as a homemade version I used to purchase from a medical practitioner. A little goes a long way, and it mixes well with creams or oils to make it easier to use in massage.

overall kinda disappointed. I was hoping this came in a glass bottle :( and then using it a first time, I don't know if i can get over the extremely strong smell.. I LOVE herbal smells and typically use zheng gui shui. but this one has a savory food smell that is weird mixed with the menthol and camphor. typically wouldn't bother me, but it is so strong that I could smell it, as if I had just applied it, all day until I showered the next day. also need a cotton pad to apply and I would not apply anywhere that would come into contact with any non black clothing. overall, I don't know if I'll even end up using it much, or only when pain is worse and I'm desperate..

I bought it for my mother because of pain in her legs. Mom said it was the best she'd ever tried. Really soothes the pain, but has a very unpleasant smell.

This rub really release tight and sprained muscles and nerve pain spots. Gently rubbed my lower back near my left buttock 2-3 times a day. It helps me to release pain to get some rest at night. Slowly it gets better.

This dit da jow is well known and be around for a long time. We have been using it for more than 30 years. It works well for bruises or muscle strains. The only complaint is for those that were sold in USA, they had added both menthol and camphor to it, which would make it much faster but like all other pain relief that were sold here, their effects are only temporary. Also, because of adding these two ingredients, if using too much, would cool down skin and muscle temperatures too fast, sometime causing shivering of the body. Also, people with sensitive skin, would be allergic to it. Therefore should only try with small portions first and massage with this liquid gently on affected areas (e.g. sprained ankle)

It's effective. And it doesn't smell bad. The medicinal smell is acceptable.
