The tablets are pretty big and dry so I’m unable to swallow them unless I cut them in four pieces and even then I struggle. (I’m not good at taking tablets, so I should’ve gotten a capsule version.) Also, somehow I neglected to notice that they contain calcium which interferes with iron absorption. The few tablets I tried seemed effective and I felt less full after a big meal but considering the other factors these are not for me.

I take one capsule with each meal to help with protein digestion, especially as I get older. I used to take a digestive supplement with enzymes as well, but I find that the HCl alone does the job for less money.

This is the most economical option for betaine hydrochloride. I have purchased it and used it for years. It’s very helpful for digestion before a meal with a lot of meat and high protein.

Though Betaine Hydrochloride (BH) is not necessarily a miracle pill, it can be a great help for those of us who have subpar functioning stomachs that do not produce enough acid on their own. I have found BH to be helpful in digesting more complex foods, like meats, and get more nutrition and nutrients out of them then I would otherwise. I was very pleased and surprised by the low price and high quality and quantity per tablet! They really help with digestion! I even noticed that my body began producing more pepsin! The dosage was very well chosen! One tablet is enough for a main meal! The tablets are a normal size and easy to swallow with water or other drinks!

I'm ordering this betaine for the first time. I think it will be good. It also contains a few enzymes. I'll update my review later.
