It is the perfect size for us. I don’t cook much, so I prefer a small garbage can so I can pull the bag out every other day. The size is perfect for the recycling too. I had your smaller butterfly can before, I tried to order another one but you discontinued it. I’m glad you gave me this choice, it’s even better!
I had a cheaper trash can for a couple of years n there is NO COMPARISON with the quality this Simplehuman Can delivers!
I bought this particular can because the lid opened in the middle, therefore, not banging the lid into my counter top! It works great, looks good, and doesn't slide across the floor when one steps on the lever to open it.

I did! My newly designed small kitchen design didn’t have room for garbage and recycling and this butterfly unit was perfect. It’s hidden in the corner. Easy open with your feet. It’s quite close and love the butterfly top open design which minimizes the height of the opened lid. I bought the Simplehuman correct sized bags and they are worth it!!! Love the newest and hard working appliance in my kitchen.

This garbage can manages to incorporate being sleek, stylish, and functional all in one slim design. I love that it has the recycler inside, which makes my life so much easier and keeps my kitchen counter cleaner as well. The butterfly lid is so quiet. I should have bought this garbage can years ago.
They had this trashcan at a house we rented on vacation and our trash loving beagle couldn’t get into it. We ordered one right away and it works like a charm. Life changing not having to worry about her eating trash anymore.
