These work well. Do they need to be in your kitchen? I can not answer that. It does make hulling fast and easy with little to no waste. If you are still going to grab a knife anyhow to chop things up you might not grab this. I will probably use this sometimes and not use it others. So, this is a tool I recommend if you have room in your drawer to add another tool but it is not necessary. I will grab it for sure to make jam.
