Great humidifier

The humidifier was very simple to set up and so quiet! We love it.

Very upset with Macy’s. I tried to cancel this order. But because I called 2 days after I put order in instead of 24 hours they wouldn’t cancel it tho it hadn’t shipped yet. I’m in New York. The item was then shipped from California. Now I have to return it to store. Macy’s just wasted 2 way shipping costs. Rey poor customer service!

Although I see there is moist air pumping into the room, I am disappointed with the upkeep. You have to clean it every three days--and it needs cleaning every three days!! I actually take it apart every morning and clean it to avoid the mildew that spawns quickly. In Levoit's defense? I'm not using distilled water. I'd need a galloon every day! That's too much.

Does what it says on the tin. Had mine for over a year and it's still going strong. Like all humidifiers I've tried, there are enough nooks and crannies inside that cleaning out the pink stuff is a chore. I pray one day to discover one that is easy to clean. The smart features and app work just fine, but mostly go unused. It is nice to be able to turn of the front screen without getting out of bed though. But mostly I just want to set it and forget it so I always leave it on auto mode at my desired %. Having auto mode paired with a built in humidity sensor is definitely great. If I could just adjust the % from the front of the device instead of an app, this would be 4 stars, and if it was easy to clean, it'd be 5!

I purchased this humidifier after my very excellent Air-O-Swiss 7144 didn't operate when I plugged it in this fall. I've had the unit for about 12 years. I've been using humidifiers of various types for 30 years or more & I always use distilled water only, & never use the heat option. I find this Levoit to be acceptable, although it is not as customizable as the AOS. I have just read that the flexibility I'm looking for may be available through the VeSync app, which I will begin using. While the unit is relatively quiet, the noise is noticeable to a person with sensitive hearing. I like the top-filling feature, although removing the lid to refill it leads to water from the underside dripping during removal, a relatively minor inconvenience, but, I think, worth mentioning.
