Way too difficult to remove lid, no directions provided are unclear

I love this I bought one and months ago 2 more I love to have a clean countertop I love to cook and I have more than 20 spices, I love the fact I can have my normals Garlic, onion, smoke paprika, lemon and pepper, oregano and salt in just one bottle, I bought one for my pink salt only the lid has a bad rep but just keep it clean that’s it it’s easy to close and open you can pour spices in with a funnel or a paper I highly recommended.

Love this - and looks great but also excellent for smashing and pounding herbs and spices. Design allows to be comfortably held in the hand for ease.

Nice concept but lid needs more thought difficult to open

Because I like to create my own spice mixes, and do some Indian cooking, I buy spices in bulk at an Indian/Pakistani store, where they're much cheaper than at the supermarket, then put them in a spice box. That's easy to work from, but takes up space. Add to that that we have a travel trailer, which is short on space, not to mention that every time I open the door after we've been on the move, it can be as if a earthquake had occurred, with things spilled out on the floor (definitely not a good thing to happen with turmeric). Enter this spice shaker, and problem solved. Using a funnel, it's easy to get the spices into the compartments, though I do have to close the top and tap the container on the counter to get them to settle into any air pockets a few times. The top is reasonably easy to manipulate once you get the trick – I couldn't see the symbols on the outside of the cover until my husband pointed them out. You can open it for shaking or pouring, and close it securely when not in use. It just fits into the minuscule space available in the trailer galley, and is also useful to keep beside the stove at home, which is a lot easier than getting my spice box out of the cabinet, finding a place for the lid if the stove is full, taking the inner lid off, and putting it down, then using the little spoon to dole out the spices.
