The porcelain is very lightweight and charming. It came packaged very securely in all recyclable materials. The largest plates are larger than necessary but I love them anyway.

Just received in the mail. Not happy at all with the quality of these plates. They have a weird hump that would cause everything to run to the sides of the plate. Returning these immediately.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very functional as well as stunning and stylish! Cereal bowl is a deep generous size which is fantastic for cereal, soup and salads. Plates have raised band to keep food on the plate . Coffee handle nice good grip design. Very versatile to put with color or different tablescapes .

I own two different sets from Mikasa: Siara and Sloan. After I bought Sloane, I stopped using Ciara. Sloan is gorgeous, high quality, and most importantly durable and light. I have been using both sets Sloane and Ciara for more than 2 years every day and both are like new. By the way, I bought both those sets for 8 each. Highly recommend!

We've had this setting for less than 6 mo and the plates are already scratched and look 10+ years old - and we're only two people! I love the pattern, but I am not impressed with the quality and durability. Look elsewhere if you want something that lasts under real serious use.
