I like it to use it on its own but if I put makeup on top it does not go on as smoothly as with a liquid sunscreen. This is a gel sunscreen but not greasy or sticky. For me it looks nicely matte on my dry skin and it feels comfortable.

I got this product because it is highly recommended for “Black Girls”. I’ve heard Angela Yee (Hot 97, host) endorse it, and I just wanted a fan. It’s not terrible but it isn’t great either. The texture is smooth and silky, as I am certain the ingredients include dimethicone (silicone) of some sort. *I checked later and it’s listed under inactive ingredients as “silica”. Which is fine for some, but silicones, in my experience tend to block any outside components from getting into the skin, i.e., vitamins etc. This item was also listed as “matte”, but it comes off as the complete opposite on my skin. One could even call it a “dewey” finish, and this is after several different applications, on different days. Again, it’s not terrible, but not great either. Since it’s wasn’t amazing and it did not even perform as stated, matte, i gave it two stars.

I tried it half of my face after cleaning and drying my skin. The half which I applied the sunscreen on was shinier than the non-applied side. I waited for the "matted" effect to take place. However, it makes a good "primer". But don't expect a "matted" non-shiny look.

Love the sunscreen! Provides a natural matte finish without the chalky undertone.

Don't like the gel. Doesn't provide moisturizing the others do.
