[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so impressed with the KitchenAid Enameled Cast Iron Induction Dutch Oven. First impression was intimidated because the Dutch oven its heavy. The blue color is beautiful and it goes perfect with my kitchen farmhouse decor. I made a stew and the meat was so moist and tender, it was ready in less than 2 hours. I cooked my meal in medium/low heat. The Dutch oven preserve the heat locked inside while cooking and a little heat goes a long way. My food did not lose any juices and cooked evenly. I love cooking with the dutch oven because its not messy while cooking, you cook your meals in low heat and its so easy to clean just a wipe dry and store. I'm having so much fun cooking different meals like stews, soup and meats. We are a family of 6 and you can feed all of us and have leftover for the next day or for lunches there is always so much food for everyone. I'm already telling my mom and sister to get one. This oven makes my cooking easier and my food preserves all the flavors. Meals are now effortless and so delicious.

It's easy to clean and be taken care of. The weight is at the right level for me to handle and it works on my induction stove. I used this pot to make mac salad and it turned out to be everyone's favorite. The size works for my family and I think it's a good size for 2-5 people. We're big on using this for gluten-free bread, and I'm impressed with how evenly the heat retains inside. I credit this Dutch oven for the best we have made yet! The look of it is so attractive and joyful. The inside is white cast iron. It's really nice, and wish I had found it sooner!

I love the fact that I can braise things on the stove and then move the entire pot into the oven. Food cooks very evenly due to the cast iron construction. The bonded enamel finish is two times more chip resistant and the pot is huge. You don’t have to season it at all and the self basting lid keeps your food moist. It’s an excellent addition for cooking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the KitchenAid Enameled Cast Iron Induction Dutch Oven, 6-Quart, Blue Velvet arrived I was surprised at the weight of the item. This is a solid pan and cooks food rather nicely! I recommend reading the instruction book that comes with so you know how to properly care for your new oven. I like the the instructions are very through and do a great job to get you started in the right direction. The color of the oven is a very nice blue color. The first time using it I made a pot roast and it came out just perfect. I love that the inside is enameled and nothing sticks to it. There is a raw cast iron section on the edge of the pan under the lid that isn't covered by enamel or blue paint. They say for that it just needs greased every so often. No big issue there. Its also a great pan to cook rice in because the lid is so heavy!
