The lamp itself is small which was great because my childs' room is about average but has lots of big furniture so I needed something that could fit on a small space to work with. The lamp sits on top of a toy wood kitchen set and provides a great help by keeping my child in the room during the night when they are afraid of the dark. The lamp comes with a light bulb and the bulb is very bright for the room. It is like having a regular light switch turned on in that room, so I will be gettin a bulb with less watts to tone it down a bit. My child can easily turn on and off the lamp so that was plus for me and them as well. I love it overall and it compliments the room decor which has Minnie and Mickey in it.
