The stainless steel demi is an excellent little kettle. Perfect size and a beautiful design. The reason I bought it was to replace the Le Creuset Marseilles blue tea kettles (2) that were rusting on the interior after a short period of time (spout and on a seam). This kettle, I hope, will never rust. No one wants to drink rusty water.
I received my kettle in good shape and it looks and feels good and seems high quality. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, so check back later for further details.

Perfect size for a smaller stove top. Easy to clean. Travels well, for camping or bringing to the office.
I started to see black flakes in my water. Come to find out that after a year of normal use, the bottom of the inside started rusting badly. There's no repairing it.

When you want one cup or two, this is the perfect size since it is not too heavy to lift and pour the water into your cup. It heats the water very quickly and retains the heat in the water if you use only enough for one cup and then want a second cup the water is still hot. The whistle is a nice feature. I like that the handle moves down so you can easily fill the kettle and then move the handle back up. Bloomingdale's had it come from Le Creuset and it was delivered very quickly and in perfect condition. I know I can always depend on Bloomingdale's for my shopping. Bloomingdale's the best!
I have 3 of these teapots at different locations. I liked it better when the knob on the top was black and not silver. The box that this new one came in was absolutely terrible. It came apart and the teapot basically fell out. When you pay this price for something at least put it in a decent presentation box.
