Wouldn’t waste your money disappointed with cost and quality

I’ve used it for a few things some with more success than others. Slicing a whole fennel bulb into nice thin slices was easy. Trying to julienne a large carrot was less so. I found it tricky to hold. I probably need to use it more to get the knack of the holder on more awkward shapes. But it’s easy to clean. Folds away neatly. Safer than most mandolins I’ve seen.

I ordered this online, and it arrived - so nothing special (good or bad) there. It was a present for a family member. As far as I know he has not used it yet. I expect that when he does it will work as claimed, so really there is nothing special there either.

Great for some veg like potatoes but very difficult with hard stuff like carrots. Having a mild dose of arthritis I find it difficult to hold the clamp as it is really springy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very good chopper and slicer for the kitchen, which does all it promises. But to use properly the gripper for the food being sliced requires all my 82-year-old strength. It is easy to suffer little cuts and nicks, so those on blood thinners had better beware!

After owning and using a few Joseph Joseph knives and absolutely loving them (best knives we’ve ever owned) I decided to give this mandoline a go and it did not disappoint. It’s very sharp, efficient and the gripper works very well unlike others we’ve had before. My partner loves it and will be using regularly. Just hoping it stays sharp. Bit fiddly to wash up but worth the extra minute or two in my opinion
