My husband found it quick and easy to assemble, and the thickness is perfect for my son’s taekwondo practice. The pieces interlock seamlessly, which is great, though the mat does tend to shift a bit if not placed against a wall. A simple solution would be to add rug grippers to the bottom to prevent sliding. The size fits perfectly in my son’s room, and the wood grain design adds a nice touch, keeping it from looking cheap.

I needed to find something that could help protect his body and head if he falls down. First off, this puzzle mat is very durable and it feels like it is pretty shock absorbent. I love that the color is neutral versus being a bright eyesore sort of color. It was very simple to put together and is the perfect size for my littles play area. I can already see this will be a great addition to our play space. Lastly, the color also helps so that it can be used for other things as well once he grows out of it. That’s another reason that I believe this color is the way to go. I will be using for my workout equipment once he’s a bit older.
