Ths blanket is light to medium weight. I use it year round. It feels like velvet, softest blanket we have ever had. The king is large fits well over each side of the king bed. Liked it so much, we bought another one to save!

They are ample in size so I can pull the blanket up to my chin and still cover my shoulders. So soft and perfect for winter as a layer, but I think this blanket alone is nice enough looking to use as a single layer in warmer weather
