I recieved this beautiful dish set as a wedding gift 50 years ago. It still looks brand new. I use it for my special occasions. It is elegant and so lovely to look at. I highly recommend it to add elegance to your dinner parties.

The polish finish gives it such a luxurious vibe, making the food that sits on top feel like a classy piece of art. This is also the first time using a plate set that has a design on it; we usually only get the plain white plate sets because they are very simple and makes the food attractive to eat. If there is one downside, a.k.a. the reason why a star was docked, it is that these plates are incredibly heavy. I understand Lenox wants to give a luxurious feel to it and making it light would make it come off as flimsy, but because of the heaviness of it, I may have to reserve these plates for more holiday/special occasion uses because they are not of a comfortable weight to use on a daily basis, especially when you factor in making meals. Overall, if you do not mind the hefty weight, I highly recommend this set as Lenox never disappoints.

The design is classic with a modern touch of metallic silver rim, which add the luxury feel to the set. The set is not heavy at all but still is a great solid quality of porcelain, which Lenox is famous for. I love that this set offer a smooth and glossy finish, so I dont need to worry about stain. It also washed well. The only downside is this set is not microwave safe, but the beauty and exquisite apperance of this set overshadowed that. The price is a bit high but it is a great investment if you are looking for a timeless dinnerware set, which can be used for many occasions. The silver decorative lining is very extravagant. The pieces are not too heavy and are of great quality. The set washes well but, I, personally would not want to use an abrasive sponge. The downside is the fragility and not being able to use the pieces in the microwave. I understand that the silver lining adds the sophistication, however, I would love more functionality, while still being formal dinnerware. I would definitely recommend this dinnerware set.
