Working with the a7CR, the lens works to perfection. I had debated the f1.4 and 135, but the size and balance on this camera is a perfect solution. Sharpness, broken, and speed work flawlessly, generating great results.
For the size and weight of this lens the quality is outstanding. Yes it does suffer with chromatic aberration at apertures, especially wide open. The focus is silent and fast, works very well with the Sony ai auto focus for subject recognition. The bokeh is beautiful for the most part, with a busy background it can lose it's smoothness. This is not a G Master and it's far from priced like one. I have only used for photography so can't comment on video performance. In the whole I am very happy and impressed with price to performance of this lens, it comes highly recommended.

Recently purchased this lens to go with my newly aquired Sony a7v. What a great combination, although I have only had it a couple of weeks I can see trhis lens been put to good use over the coming months.
Excellent image quality , it makes difference mindset of use max apiture F1.8, very sharp when use 1.8

I bought this lens to try out portrait photography. Didn't expect an 85mm can give me so much of different perspectives. 85mm F1.8 and such a light lens. Image quality is superb plus it's affordability.

Great lens for portraits. Bokeh quite good even from a distance. Only issue some people may not like some cats eye bokeh but it looks fine to me.
