My 13 yr old is not quite ready to move to the thong style dance support, so this is perfect. The M fit him well in terms of waist measurement, but he needed greater length to fit everything correctly. I was worried that the L might be too wide, but Capezio understands a dancer body and the L was exactly what was needed. It has enough stretch that it could accommodate a wider frame, but still fit snug on my slender guy. We started with this style when he started dance as a small boy, and I have found that are very solid construction and last. We wash on cool and hang dry and have never had one fall apart.

There's a good reason this belt is so popular. It's comfortable and holds everything out of the way well enough without feeling like a dance belt. It's a seated belt that is not padded and is does not really keep everything shaped, so it's obviously not for ballet or wearing with tights. I have several of these belts and use them for musical theatre rehearsals, or other lower intensity dance rehearsals that don't require a ton of support. They work great for that and can be worn comfortably all day if necessary, but it definitely does not provide the support or shaping of a regular thong belt.

It keeps me in place very well and is surprisingly comfortable. It definitely runs small. I am always a medium and the medium I tried was a joke. The large is perfect.

I bought these for my 11 year old son, slender build. They fit very well. Just use the sizing chart to get best fit.

My son was not happy about the need to wear a belt. This one was recommended as a starter belt ... to get used to it. He said it's not awful .

I am not a dancer. I was interested in the brief as underwear for daily use. But even though I ordered an extra large size, it turned out to be much too small.
