APEC 10" High Purity pH+ Calcium Carbonate Re-mineralization Inline Filters NOW WHAT?
Highly suggest you create a canister holder so you can vertically drop in all filters followed by twist and turn tightening; changing out 6 filters involving special plastic wrenches and disengaging push valves etc is quite a hassle for a consumer . . . check out Cloud RO system design?
I had no idea how much better reverse osmosis water would taste; I installed the re-mineralization filter for aquarium water, and now I'll NEVER be without one for my APEC system! It's amazing to taste water!
I'm NOT a paid reviewer or affiliated with APEC in any way. I don't usually make these product reviews, but I love my filter. Mine is the ROES-50, which doesn't have remineralization out of the box. When I figured this out I decided to add this and just wanted to say that it's super easy. It uses the same line size, you just remove the rubber protector "nipple" things and inline it.
When the RO system installed started to malfunction I purchased the APEC ESSENCE ROES-PH75 System. The instructions made it easy to install and I have been great drinking water and ice ever since. This was my annual maintenance on the unit and it went very smooth.
Installed new filter easily. Water tastes awesome!
This review is from a retired family of two. I have tried several "PH plus filters" in my APEC RO system and the result is always the same. I test for my water PH on a weekly basis after installing this filter, and it only reveals a alkaline result for about 2-3 weeks. After that time period the water reverts back to a acid test.
the water tastes much better with the added calcium than purified/near distilled water. the last one lasted me 1.5 years but i use only about 2 gallons/week
We have had two under-sink RO systems over the past 25-yeas and they produce better tasting and healty water on demand cheaper than bottled watter. And it is much more ecological. Our current system has a total of six filters. Numbers 1, 2, & 3 are easy and inexpensive to replace annually. This year on it's third annaversery I replaced # 4, 5, & 6. Also relatively easy.
We buy this remineralizer all the time. It makes water alkaline and taste good.
