This cup is beautiful, but its background color is grey-blue, not like the prettier, brighter, and slightly more turquoise blue shown in the photos. It is also smaller than the product description promises. I bought this set because the product listing says the cup holds 12 oz., like the other Morris & Co. mugs I've purchased from Macy's. However, the listing is wrong. The packaging (see photo) says the cup holds 10 oz., nearly nearly 17% less than advertised. It doesn't really hold a full cup of coffee or tea. (See photos to compare to other Morris & Co. mugs.) If you're buying it to go with the rest of the Morris & Co. mugs sold at Macy's, note that it has a slightly smaller diameter and it's noticeably shorter.

The Spode cup and saucer are decorated with light pink and green vines. I have a lot of blue and white Spode but wanted something more modern and this fits the bill. Spode is English and the craftmanship is world renown.

The Spode teacups and saucers are lovely and they are so much prettier than their image online. Very, very happy with this purchase.

This Spode teacup and saucer/plate will be a gift for someone special. It is more beautiful than expected, it was an excellent choice. I would consider ordering something similar again.
