I have had Hartmann Garment Bags before and always liked them very much. However, they have apparently redesigned the handle on this bag and it is virtually impossible to get your fingers under the handle because the handle is flat against the bag . As a result, it is very difficult to pick this bag up. And , when it is filled with clothes, it is heavy, so you really need a good handle. What in the world were the manufacturers thinking of??? I would return it, but needed to use it right away for a trip.

bought this to match our other Hartmann luggage. love it. super spacious. enough room for both my husband and my hanging garments for a trip

I brought this bag a few years ago and on my second trip, American Airlines damaged my bag and said they would not repair it. After talking to Hartmann agreed to have one the shops to repair it, but I was not happy about the repair. However Hartman said this was the best they could do.Now it's one of the most expensive things that sits in my closet because I'm unable to use it, afraid it will even get more damage than it is now. What shame I’m afraid to use a great bag and Hartmann and it's people can help me so I would good traveling with such an expensive bag or the Roll-Royce of luggage. bag because of it not able to handle the wear and tear! I love Hartman but this bag and it's people can't hel me. things in my closet that I can't use. I love Hartmann tweed but very disappointed that I'm afraid to use

I purchased this 1 month ago for a trip to Europe that I just completed. My previous Hartmann garment bag lasted over 30 years and through many, many trips, including military deployments. I was hoping this new bag would be the same, but alas, I was mistaken. It's a struggle trying to zip the suitcase closed. The zipper pulls closing the interior cover are so close to that outer zipper, that they get caught. I should not have such difficulties zipping it closed, even when it's empty. I would not purchase this again.
