I've had these boots for 2 years now and wear them regularly in the cooler months. The leather is the softest of all Docs I've owned and broke in like a regular pair of shoes instead of weeks, however I wouldn't wear them for an entire day while breaking in; that's when I got blisters. I found they run true to size for me. If you don't like a heavy feeling on your feet, this style isn't the boot for you. You definitely feel the weight pull when you first cross your legs sitting. I love them though, and wear them with everything from dresses, jeans and leggings. While the classic bouncy sole is great, if you need arch support they arent the best insole for daily wear. Ive not had issues as i dont wear them every single day or for an entire day, but feel i would if i did due to the weight and insole. I'm 45 and still love a fun, chunky sole but also comfort and these are both for my wear. You know you've got it right when you get compliments from all generations!

These are way cooler than the 1460s. They're a bit different to walk on because of the thicker sole but it hasn't taken me long to get used to it. The softer leather looks cooler in my opinion and has a much nicer texture compared to the smooth leather that my 1460s are made of. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a cooler and (slightly) more comfy alternative to the 1460s. If you're looking at getting your first pair of Docs, then maybe consider getting the 1460s in the nappa (softer) leather. These will be great to get once you know what Docs are like. I am usually a UK 8 but sized down to a UK 7 (the same size as my 1460s) and they fit me perfectly.
