This boot was on sale and I was at first a bit skeptical about the quality of the boot since it was at such a great price. I was getting ready for a trip out west and for some rough hiking, and I couldn’t resist the price. I would use something a little bit more durable for the trail even though they were going to be a bit heavier. I knew I wasn’t going to be going in a very fast pace, but knew that this particular trail could be rocky. I didn’t want to bring the typical hiking boot and wanted something a bit higher for snakes and scorpions. have to tell you that the combination of weight and instant comfort and instant break-in. Was a very pleasant surprise, given some of the reviews. I wear orthotics, but did not have to use them for these boots because they are so stable and so cushioning. They have a great rugged look and the low heel definitely makes for better walking. I can turn around and comfortably do yard work as well. Looking forward to more miles on these boots!

Georgia boots stopped making the insoles specifically for these boots. It requires a insole with a drop in heel that goes into the sole. I wouldn't recommend buying these unless your shoe repair guy can fix the manufactured hole in the bottom of the sole.

I really WANT to like these boots. They are good looking, soft cushioned insoled, have a solid lacing system, meet my needs of a 8” leather, vibrams sole logger with medium heel height. However the pull on loop on the back of the boots kind of sucks, it doesnt really help me put them on. However that would be a very small issue and still rate 5 stars if it wasnt for the extreme amount of skin the counter lock heels keep tearing off my heels. I have loosened the laces, tightened the laces, changed socks, packed the boots with hard objects to stretch out and relax the heel and so far none of it works. Its been about 3 weeks now and I have been off and on between this pair and my old Georgias that are low heel loggers that are broken in and dont have this dang counter heel lock because I need to constantly heal my heels from the damage caused by these boots. So far, despite all the pros, the cons make them unserviceable at this time. If I cant wear them daily, I cant count on them and wont recommend them. However Im still holding out hope they will stop hurting me eventually.

Second pair of these boots. Will buy a third when these eventually wear out.

Comfortable from the start. Good stability and traction. Able to work all day with no sore feet.

Boot is great, soft comfortable, nice build. Shipping SLOW boat, horrible tracking, did not arrive on time, but, I am keeping the boot anyway because it is so nice.

Georgia boots are always comfortable hardly anytime for break-in very sturdy quality made and awesome customer service

These boots have been extremely hard to break in. I have applied mink oil and worn them for about two weeks and they are just starting to soften up. I am not sold on the counter lock heel. Time will tell.

They don't make these like they used to.I had these for 3 months and they already fell apart. I'm not sure if this was a bad batch but I'm very disappointed. Wish these were better.
