This is a great boot and great value. I own a half dozen pairs of muck boots and this one was just as good. However, I believe the site said that it fit calf size up to 16inches but when I tried it on, I could not get it over my 15 inch calf.

I work for a non-profit disaster response organization and teach a lot of chainsaw training. My previous boots (not the Muck brand) had a couple of holes in them so I decided to get the best quality boots I could get. Because I do a lot of training (and actual chainsaw work) during the summer months I wanted to make sure I could protect myself from snakes. These are well-made and sturdy. They feel relatively comfortable, although they are a bit heavy. I normally wear size 11.5 but ordered size 11 on these and they fit well. I feel better having these (along with chainsaw chaps) on when I am in the woods. Hopefully I will never find out how well they work but I feel confident that they provide good protection.

These boots have proven to be solid performers in the woods and in the fields for hunt dog work. Cool enough for summer and warm for cold weather. Traction is excellent. Fit is spot on and easy to slide on and off. Weight is light enough to work all day.

Great for clearing mountain areas. I like these better than the woman’s boots. I felt more at ease working in the woods. We have a lot of Diamondback rattlesnakes and copperheads. I would recommend these.

Gets the job done. I've used them for work and hunting and they keep my feet dry. They've held up for a few years of relatively difficult use.

As a wildlife biologist, working in the field is nearly an every day occurrence. I find myself in very remote parts of The Everglades, so it was only natural that I find a boot that is not only going to keep me dry, but also keep me protected from any of the many venomous snakes I see often in the field. Not only do these boots give me peace of mind, but are also extremely comfortable as I am often walking through the swamp for hours at a time. I would recommend these boots to anyone that works in and around venomous snake habitat, as well as avid outdoorsmen that want to enjoy their hobby without having to worry about potential snake bites. All-in-all, my Muck boots have never let me down!

These boots are excellent! Highly recommend! They're very comfortable, durable, good grip, waterproof and most important snake proof! The price is a bit more than I had originally anticipated but it's a very small price to pay for piece of mind!

In life, there are certain quotidian acquisitions that return monstrous value. These boots are one of those, believe me.

As a wetland consultant I’ve used a few pairs that get cut up too easily by sticks and thorns, so these being full rubber outside means they’re super durable. You do lose the breathability that the neoprene topped boots provide, but it’s worth not getting a new pair every year. Very comfortable as well.

I live in Costa Rica and the boot lasted 6 months. I would never spend the $$ I did to buy this boot again. The soles separated from the boot. Poor glue I guess
