We were so excited to upgrade our previous set of Samsonite luggage with the expectation the new set would be the same type of quality we had with our 10 year old set. This was a mistake to assume the new set would be of the same quality. We purchased 6 pieces of Paralux luggage. The very first usage the ID tag was ripped off the luggage while on the airport carousel. There is now 2 holes in place of the ID tag. We do not understand why Samsonite didn't do testing to determine this piece was not going to stand up to ONE time on an airport carousel! We also became aware of the - it isn't the airlines fault, it must be the luggage manufacturer - no, it must be the airlines fault - you are just stuck. Sad, that a brand we trusted our entire lives now only lasted one airline flight. Gave 2 stars as wheels make it easy to use but upset at our experience and now have defective large Paralux luggage along with all the other pieces waiting for them to also break.

I purchased the Samsonite Paralux 24 Carry On because I expected a quality, durable piece of luggage from a brand with a strong reputation. Unfortunately, after using it for only one trip, the exterior already has significant scuffing and noticeable markings. I understand that luggage can show some wear from normal travel, but I was very disappointed by how easily this particular finish appears to scuff and show marks after just one trip. The amount of visible marking was much more than I expected for a new piece of luggage. If appearance is important to you, I would recommend being aware that this finish may be particularly susceptible to scuffing and showing travel marks. I wish I had known this before purchasing.

My suitcase was delivered in a Macy’s box that was too big. The wheels were dirty, leaving me to assume that I was sent a returned item. There were no instructions, making the locks a little challenging. The suitcase is very nice, but Macy’s let me down.

This luggage is well made (handles are easier to grasp and luggage pull releases much easier than most luggage - nice color and well designed. The extra zipper pocket and lock is something that will come in handy when needing to get something quick or put something extra at the last moment.

Still figuring out the functionality of the top load with the dividers inside but love the option. Handle and everything feels very sturdy. I travel a lot and know what to look for in a good bag.
