I bought this to be my daily work bag that can double as a weekend travel bag a couple times a year. I was looking for (a) laptop protection (b) maximum roominess at this volume level (35L) (c) small enough to be airplane personal item. The bag does all three well. The laptop compartment is sturdy, and it has a reinforced bottom part that protects your computer when you put the bag down. The compartment doesn't touch the bottom inside of the bag, so there's some shock absorption. One note, the bag I bought from PG seems like an earlier model. More recent models have an even better laptop protection sleeve, plus a pocket for a tablet. I kinda wish I got that. Anyway, I just took this for a weekend trip and it's even roomier than I thought. No issues fitting a few days of clothes, shoes, work stuff, and even a bottle on the inside. Everything is sturdy and robust, and it's still able to fit under an airline seat. I'm happy with my purchase.

The Base Camp Voyager Travel Pack—35L is an excellent travel bag. It's spacious, durable, and comfortable to carry, with plenty of compartments to keep everything organized.It holds much more than I expected without feeling too bulky. The quality is outstanding, and it's perfect for weekend trips or as a carry-on. I highly recommend it.

I use this bag when I travel 1-2 days for work. Pefect size. Straps could use a bit more padding and a cell phone pocket.

It packs more then you would think, great for day or weekend trip.

Ordered the voyager bag somehow they sent me a router north face bag with the voyager tags. Wouldn’t recommend spending the money on an app if they can’t get it correct.

Why do sell expensive items.

I was looking for a nice personal item backpack for travel and read a lot of reviews about this one. Some people said it was great, while others said it was too large to count as a personal item. So I bought one and tested it with the Frontier personal item size checker. The size fits perfectly in the measurement box, but I would recommend not overpacking it. You need to keep some flexibility in the backpack so it can fit properly. I also tested whether it fits under the seat, and it worked well. If you are looking for a large personal item backpack, I would recommend giving this one a try!
