She is 7 years old and was able to do this activity on her own, which was a nice break for me. She carries the little pocket brush around with her in her backpack at school and all the gems have stayed on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the cutest, beginner friendly diamond painting kit! It’s a compact brush with mirror too! Fits easily in your child’s hand, and can fit perfectly in a purse or bag for on the go! My daughter and I had so much fun decorating this together! While it doesn’t include instructions, it doesn’t contain a ton of supplies, so it was easy to figure out. In the kit you’ll find, wax, a tray for the rhinestones, 3 colors of rhinestones. Yellow, White, Pink. Also, an applicator, wax, and the compact brush/mirror. When ready, peel off the plastic from the compact. It’s super sticky, so be cautious. Then, you’ll simply add a small amount of wax to the tip of your applicator. And so the fun begins! Begin to pickup a rhinestone one by one, with the applicator then and place it on the specified letter! It’s fun decorating because it’s like a color by number! Doesn’t take long to complete, and your little one will feel good knowing they decorated it themselves! Definitely recommend!

She’s been handling gem crafts for a couple years now with ease. Definitely does seem tricky for younger children. Perfect gift!

This being her 1st diamond art project and she really enjoyed it. Packing of beads is great,packed by individual colors. Compact seems very durable and love the versatility of the compact brush and mirror combo.

It is also very practical to use. They had some glitter left over and were able to decorate other brushes they already had. It is definitely a lot of fun.
