Power outages sometimes result in the router losing internet connection with cable modem when power restored. Never happened with the Apple AirPort Extreme router it replaced. Otherwise seems fine. Annoying to have to power off and reboot router after power outage; ASUS should fix this with an update. I

Highly satisfied with this modern WiFi router after my ASUS RT-AC86U router went dead after 8 years of reliable service. Set up to full operation was surprisingly fast at 5 minutes to connect cables and set up app. VERY convenient was using the old router config in the new router. Result was no additional work in setting up configs. Obsessively checking everything confirmed all settings were good and the security remained robust. Besides the modern standards of the RT-BE86U, the cybersecurity suite is even better than the previous commercial quality suite of the old RT-AC86U.

Very reliable product. This is my 3rd router from ASUS in 10+ years. Each time wanting to upgrade for no other reason.
