I bought this necklace month ago, very elegant and looks very expensive, happy with purchase

This necklace has a great sparkle and the stones are black and transparent. I want to explain something, I hope this is helpful. I saw comments that indicated that the chain twist and some people returned it because of that, I was about to as well but I noticed that it’s related to how the clasp is clamped together, the button on the clamp must be pointing up, if the chain is twisting and the chain is upside down switch the direction of the clamp eg if the clamp button is in the left hand when you clamped it, and the stones are upside down, re-clamp it with the clamp button in the right hand and this problem is corrected. This is the correct way to attach in all cases the clamp button must be pointed up from the neck. In my case the clamp must be closed and the clamp button is in the right hand. If closed with the button in the incorrect way which is the left hand then is will be upside down. This necklace is very elegant, I get a lot of compliments.

Love it!! Color is great wish the length was a little longer

As soon as I bought it it went out if stock after a couple of days. I see from other reviews that some customers were unhappy with the stones' color and returned the necklace. Well, I probably got one of those returns and so happy that i got a hold 9f it. The sapphires are very sparkly. Sapphire is dark anyway so there's not much difference 8n the appearance whether they were blue or black. The stones are NOT opaque like "sad" black diamond of this size, that sparkles once every 3 days (lol). Gorgeous necklace, great price on sale. Thank you designers and creators, and thank you Macy's.

Very small the information on the tags says 15 " not 18 ". This has nothing of an charming what so ever . DONT sale this as fine jewelry. Place this item as fashion jewelry. I'm returning it ASAP!

Take a little time and research black sapphire. While you are at it do a little online comparison price checking. You will find that this is a classic stone that is currently on trend. You will find it is a very durable stone. And, if like me, you like to be just a little different I think you will love this necklace.

Received item in the mailbox today. My gf tried it on and it ran smaller than advertised. wouldn't lay flat, and clasp was loose. Returned item same day.

Beautiful necklace. Was everything I hoped it would be for my daughter who has a September birthday. I took the chance of buying Online and when it came it was really exceptional and it was a very good deal because I caught the sale.

I've admired this necklace for a long time. My disappointment stems from Macy's now marketing this necklace as a "Black Sapphire" Collar Necklace when its always been offered as the "Blue Sapphire" Collar Necklace in Fine Jewelry. In case you haven't been adoring this necklace for as long as I have, Macy's made the decision to change the name from the Blue Sapphire necklace to the Black Sapphire necklace based on, this is my guess, all of the negative reviews of customers complaining that the sapphires weren't blue but black. I feel the same way, the sapphires weren't as blue as I hoped, not even midnight blue, but black. Rather than demanding better quality sapphires from the source, it seems Macy's decided to go the easy route of changing the name to the Black Sapphires Collar Necklace. With that said, it is a beautiful necklace and I highly recommend it. I do agree with another reviewer that mentioned the necklace at times twists with the sapphires turned the wrong way.

I was so excited when the package arrived at my house. Then my heart just plunged when I saw the necklace. The stones were black. A couple of the stones were even chipped. I took the necklace out into the sun to see if any blue was visible. About five of the stones had a faint bluish tinge when held up to direct sunlight. I returned it yesterday. If I would be guaranteed actual blue sapphires, I would buy it again, as it would have been perfect to wear to my nephew's wedding.
