This coat has elegance while still remaining a basic look that will go anywhere. The star I took off is because it is a bit heavy, which just goes with the nature of the material. But it is definitely a keeper!

The design of the coat could be significantly improved. The shoulder and sleeve construction is not properly engineered; instead of using a more tailored set-in sleeve structure, it appears to be cut in a standard, boxy “regular fit” style. Because of this, the silhouette doesn’t fall as stylishly or structurally as it could when worn. The material choice is also questionable. Using 100% heavy cotton/linen makes the coat feel overly weighty and it does not dry quickly. It raises the question of why such a thick fabric was chosen for this type of outerwear. A lighter blend or polyester-based material would be more practical, especially for everyday wear and performance. The length is another issue. The coat is designed too long for the average body proportions. Considering the average height in the U.S. (around 5'3" for many women), the current length makes it feel oversized and impractical rather than flattering. I bought it in NYC because it was just what I was looking for and it kept me quite warm. I wanted a size XS but it came in only S. So it is a bit big for me.
