[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exceptional quality - the leather looks and feels amazing. They’re a little bit heavy, but in the best way. I personally feel they’re especially true to size, no need to order up. Just enough room in the toe box. 10 out of ten.

The only downside and I'm not sure why is that ONLY the black color comes with fabric laces and the rest have leather laces. And there is no option to change it hence 4 stars. The fabric laces look a bit unintegrated in my opinion.

I delayed buying this boot because I felt it was priced too high. I need an EE or EEE width, and these boots are only a medium width, so they probably won't fit me anyway. I finally gave in and purchased a pair just to satisfy my curiosity. I was expecting it to be too narrow and uncomfortable, so I ordered a size larger than I normally take, and to my complete delight, these boots fit almost perfectly. They need a little break-in time, but they will only get better with wear. I'm very happy with these boots. They're so sharp-looking, I can wear them as dress boots.

Nice looking boot. Not very comfortable. The area just behind the toe gets a significant crease and I’ve only been wearing them for two days. Creates a clown shoe effect. Would not buy again.

This is the best looking boot that I've been able to find out there. Unfortunately, it's too small for me. The size 13 is like a vise grip on my foot and there's no chance that I can break them in. My previous size 13 Frye boots from years ago are perfect. I guess I'll have to try other brands that have larger sizes.

Very comfortable boot. Minimal effort to break them in. Only thing I would/will change…put black shoelaces in the black boot instead of the gray ones it came with

Got these for motorcycle riding. Nice look and feel. Feet are secure and ankles protected.

I was a Frye loyalist for about 20 years. I own(ed) many styles over the years from loggers, engineers, and harness boots. I loved Frye’s rugged but smooth style ,matched with their high quality craftsmanship. However, over the past few years, some things changed with their men’s boot styles. They became a little too polished, too slick, too dressy. Nothing appealed to my taste. So, was thrilled to spot the Hudson Workboot Lug in an advertisement and ordered them immediately! In person, they’re even better than I expected! The caramel leather has a terrific look, feel, and quality. The leather contrast perfectly with the tan in the heel and outsole. Another plus are the lace hooks at the top of the boot instead of eyelets. They make them mush easier to lace up. The straps at the back of the boots are a big help for pulling them up. It’s an easy process to get in and out of these boots! The boots feel true to size and should break in easily. A lot more comfortable than my Red Wings. If you’re looking for a quality, stylish, work style boot, I highly recommend!

My wife makes fun of me for how much I talked about these boots. First off, a little bit about me and shoes. In short, I am an immigrant that use to make shoes with my father when I was a child in Armenia, so I can tell the difference between a good quality hand made shoe from something made poorly with bad quality materials. This boot has the feel, the look, the SMELL!!! Of great quality leather and materials and stitching. I’m thinking about getting them in black too 😬.
