This Ralph Lauren duvet mini-set in lilac is lovely and goes well with my decor. I have a fluffy winter-weight duvet that fits perfectly inside, though I haven’t had a chance to see how the duvet shakes out, etc., as it is the end of the season and entirely too hot to use. It did shrink a bit when laundered, which I wasn’t thrilled about. The tag says it measures 92 x 96, but following all manufacturer directions, it shrunk to 89 x 94 after washing. (No fading to report.) Also not thrilled that the reverse side looks like an out-of-focus blue and pink stripe that seems more suited to a little boy’s room. Wish it were a more usable reversible print, for the price. Even a plain solid would have been better. Zip shams are nice, but note to the manufacturer: Cotton shrinks 3-4% normally, but polyester zippers usually don’t shrink at all, so there can be puckering after laundering, which was the case here. (Glad the duvet has a button closure, so no puckering there.) I’m keeping this set, and hope it lasts me a few years, as it is a joy to look at!
