John Varvatos Artisan Costiero was a major disappointment for me, especially living in Florida’s heat and humidity. The opening citrus is pleasant for a few minutes, but the fragrance collapses almost immediately on my skin, turning into a faint skin scent with almost no projection. I’m active, outdoors often, and expect a fresh scent to hold up in high temperatures — this one doesn’t. It disappears so quickly that it feels like I never applied anything, and it doesn’t match the strength or longevity of the other fragrances in my collection. If you live in a hot climate, sweat easily, or prefer noticeable, long‑lasting scents, this will not meet your expectations.

I was pleasantly surprised. I have had other John Varvatos colognes. And normally they don’t last long. This one does. I was first attracted to the beautiful scent. It feels like you are on the Mediterranean! And this lasts a good 8 hours on my skin. Love it!

I applied John Varvatos Artisan since morning, but the smell was still good until night.
