I received the 29P and returned the 31P. On me, 5'1" 139lbs, they are great! They are "high waisted" on me, above the belly button at the waist not like the photo. I still have about 1 to 1 1/2 inches of stretch so if they shrink they will still be comfortable. At this point I would say that if you want them any more fitted at the waist order a size down from your regular size. They make your hips and stomach area slim as the ballooning starting past the spot where the top of your legs meet your torso so it creates the illusion of being smaller in the hips. The bottom hits about midway across my ankle so i could roll them up a couple of rolls for a different look. I had to pay more for them the second time as the sale had changed but I am ok with that. Very pleased with this purchase

The item received does not match my order—these are labeled as “skinny jeans” from American Eagle, which is incorrect. I am initiating a return.
