The print is beautiful, the skirt does run big. I bought a size M, but should've ordered a S

I thought the fabric was gorgeous! And I had a host of knit tops that matched really well in ivory, teal, pale pink and salmon. I already had the shoes pictured with the skirt so was so ready to start wearing this to the office. However, I could not tell from the photos that the waist was a cinchy elastic all the way around - which I ALWAYS avoid. Something but a 100% elastic waist creates a little extra front pooch that is not actually there. This skirt did the same. Even in the size small I bought (which fit true to size) there was a little extra front bubble. Additionally, I’m 5’9” but the skirt hit me at a midi tea length instead of the barely past knees on the model. It was just giving nighty vibes.

I love this skirt, from the moment I saw it in store I thought it was perfect. But I will say it is very hard to find a top that matches. I’ve tried a solid white blouse.. not eye appealing even though there’s a white lace trim. So I opted for a solid coral pink and it looks great but I don’t just want to wear the skirt with that. I think it’s too fancy for a sweater, or tennis shoes, I love it with heels. White, nude, or even sparkly heels look great with this skirt. If anyone comes up with a suggestion I’m open to it! To add, I’m aware there’s a matching top, not a fan of the loose look.
