Wonderful shoe, comfort defined. Sleek looking. Wore just around the house for a couple weeks to break in around the big toe. Now I can walk a couple miles comfortably. Switching from Chacos to Mephistos for everyday, meaning 90 % of non hiking or exercise time. I LOVE them. (I have had 2 foot surgeries, a Morton’s neuroma and bunion on other foot. Continue to have problem feet. These are the answer)
A friend of mine had these exact sandals. I’d actually never heard of them before, as I have Birkenstocks and love them. But I thought I’d give Mephistos a try because I liked the style of the Helen sandal. They are not as wide as a Birkenstock, which is fine because I have pretty narrow feet. They are very comfortable and I would highly recommend them.

I’ve lost track of how many pairs of this shoe I’ve bought over the years. I wear them constantly from April to October, morning to bedtime. They are that comfortable and supportive.
I have used these sandals for 12 years- they are always perfect quality! My feet never hurt when other's feet hurt. I have even used the sandal refurbishment about four times- totally worth it. They are stylish too! Thanks Mephisto!
I've bought this particular shoe steadily for at least10 years now (couple pairs a year). Normally the best feeling shoes for my messed up feet. I bought a pair of Helen Plus a couple years ago - can't wear them because they feel like they'll chop my toes off. Ended up with another pair of Helen Plus by accident a couple weeks ago. Same thing! feel like they'll chop my toes off! Store won't honor any return (although they sold me "Plus" instead of regular) and Mephisto won't offer anything!
I love these sandals! The arch and heel support make my feet feel great even if I've been standing or walking all day. I like the adjustable strap over the I step. Very stylish!
Returned mine! The leather was stiff and sharp. I felt it cutting my big toe.
A dear friend gave me a pair of Mephisto Helen's last month as a gift and I was skeptical as a long time Birkenstock fan. I was pleasntly suprised how soft they were. Very similar feeling but no break-in period and more comfortable. The quality is excellent! This is my 2nd pair I just purchased :)
This is my second pair of Helen’s! I have narrow feet so the fact that I can adjust the straps is a game changer.
