These brought back memories of my first pair, so I hunted them down and purchased them. They are as wonderful as I remember

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been buying the Mephisto Shark for over 20 years and can no longer recommend them.The quality is no longer there. The soles fall apart and most of the sandal delaminates within a year. In short, it’s a poorly made sandal

Love the sandal. A lot of support and super comfortable. I can even wear my orthotics in them! At least for me, your size chart does not work. I was an 11 in my other shoes but a 9 (43) in yours. So be it.

This a very comfortable sandal with good traction. I have bilateral nonspecific neuropathy in my feet and these sandals are less of an irritant than my other shoes. I am elderly and appreciate the Velcro fasteners which spare the bending down effort required of belted straps. Good sole traction. I have been able to use these as golf sandals.

First pair I bought about 20 years ago. Best sandals ever. The new pair I bought , obvious to see the decline in craftsmanship. Cheaper materials , snap buckle difficult to snap in place. Sandals are too narrow , so the tough leather is causing sores & blisters where the outside of foot rubs against the leather. All in all a complete let down after having a fantastic sandal the first time 20 years ago.

In total, very comfortable and it has some really neat features. Having only had them for a month or so, it is hard to talk about durability, but nothing has fallen apart just yet. As a negative, I get "stabbed" a bit from the outer edges of the sole. The sole is built such that the middle part is dipped in and whenever my foot is not very centred in the sandal, the high edges hurt me. Clicking the locks is somewhat impeded by the straps, so it is hard to do blindly. I took the sandals off during a long drive and struggled to put them back while looking at the road.

I have been given this sandals as a present few months ago. Was very happy until 2 weeks ago when a SOFT-AIR part fell out. Is there a way to put it back?

I first bought a pair of these sandals when my husband was leaving the hospital after quite a few procedures one summer. His feet were swollen and none of his shoes fit. These sandals, with their two adjustable straps were perfect! He wore them every day for months! Years later, we had that original black pair refurbished. They look perfect. But it was also time for another color! If he has his way, he will wear these two pairs of sandals forever. Won’t even consider trying another style or another brand. Amazing…

These Mephisto sandals are the best, most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. This is my second pair. The first pair was purchased over 10 years ago and quickly became my go to sandals. They were stylish right up to the end. I ordered the new pair and began wearing them immediately. I am looking forward to many years of use.

Most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. Buckles are not difficult to unclasp as the Sharks I purchased in 2005 were. I hope these last as long as the that pair did.
