This is a stunning dress that was perfect as a mother of the bride dress. It has a beautiful, subtle shimmer and the embellished waistband adds elegance. The flutter sleeves hid my not-so-toned upper arms and the layers underneath the skirt portion gave it a ball gown feel. Some things to consider - measure your waist because the waistband doesn't have much give to it, so when you sit down in the dress, it can feel tight. Also, the dress is very, very heavy from all the layers plus, the fabric can get hot so it may not be ideal for a summer outdoor wedding. It is a long dress so you may need to get it hemmed or wear some very high heels. It would also be a great dress for a gala or charity dinner.

I bought this for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. It fits true to size based on the measurement guide. It is such a lovely dress that is appropriate for someone my age (mid 50s) but still youthful. I tried on 4 dresses but this was the keeper based on its elegant simplicity coupled with notable comfort.

I wore the 3 quarter sleeve version of this dress for my December wedding. It has a built in underskirt, and the pictures don't do it justice. I did size up 2 sizes because the back and bust run small. Previous reviews made me aware, and I had it altered. I received lots of compliments and wanted something nontraditional but elegant with a little shimmer.
