The main thing we were looking for was a lighter bag than our current large luggage, because almost every trip we were pulling stuff out of the bag because we were over the 50lb weight limit. The Tumi Ventra Large bag is over 2lbs lighter than the bag we previously owned. And as a woman with a lot of shoes & clothes, that 2lbs is HUGE!! The one thing we didn't know we needed until we experienced it with the Tumi Ventra Large bag are the 2 zippered areas that keep clothes & shoes organized. With my husband's recent work trip, he was able to keep clothes zippered on one side and all his shoes zippered on the other. There was plenty of room for his suits, casual clothes, toiletries, shoes and even a fan that he likes to bring for the hotel room. The design is sleek and modern. The cadet texture is a beautiful slate-teal color makes it very easy to find as it's coming around the luggage carousel in the airport. My husband even got a few compliments walking through the airport with this bag! As expected with airport travel, the bag has some scuffs from getting on/off the airplane- but they are only cosmetic. The quality of the zippers and material used for the inside compartments give me confidence that this bag will last years through the jostling of luggage transfers without rips and tears. The wheels are incredibly smooth, the 3-way adjustable handle easy to use, making walking through uneven parking garages, elevators, escalators, crosswalks and to the check-in counter a piece-of-cake. Overall, the Tumi Ventra Large Expandable Checked bag has exceeded our expectations for a large suitcase, making travel less of a headache. I cannot wait for our upcoming family trip to see how it handles more clothes, shoes and toiletries. And most of all to pack 2 more pounds of things!

The wheels work great in every direction and on multiple surfaces, including carpet. I really like the size for a checked bag on a longer trip, and the option to expand is always a great feature to make sure you have extra space for purchases while traveling. The side with the compression straps fits my two large packing cubes perfectly side by side with room for smaller items underneath around the handle tracks. The expansion is also integrated into the pocket on that side of the suitcase. The cadet blue color is a pretty color that stands out a bit more than a basic navy blue. The only negative I can give is that there is really nothing special about the Tumi Ventra. There are no unique features that would make me choose it over other large hard-shelled suitcases that I have used.

From the beautiful hard shell, to the thoughtful zipper pockets and storage, this suitcase aims to please. We just came back from a short trip and filled this suitcase to the brim. It held 5 people’s worth of clothing and accessories with room to spare. The smoothness of the wheels left me giddy, I never knew luggage could role so smoothly.! The color is beautiful and streamlined, and it expands to give so much space. I have size 10 feet and was able to pack at least five pairs of shoes, if that gives you any context for how roomy it is. The handle, wheel comfort, and smoothness are all fantastic. My kids love to use it and run through the airport with it. The locking system was super easy to set up. My 11-year-old helped me with it and had no trouble at all. It was especially useful for international travel. I love that Tumi uses eco-conscious recycled materials, and the durability is top-notch. I believe spending money on good luggage is important because it lasts so long. When you go cheap, it's heavier and doesn't hold up. We'll only be buying Tumi from here on out because of the quality, durability, eco-friendliness, and how great it looks.

The size (large) of this Tumi luggage is perfect with a well-thought interior design. Unlike other designs I own, the zipper runs through the center, splitting it into two equal halves. This makes placement of items inside very easy and neatly. Each side also has its own zippered cover. There are also additional compartments inside the Tumi luggage and even a small pocket for your GPS tracker if using one. If one needs to live out of luggage during a trip, one can have very easy access to their items with this layered system. Compression straps inside are placed in a vertical manner rather than horizontal, making them easier to fasten. These straps are also adjustable. With the expansion option, one can fit a lot of items inside the Tumi luggage, especially useful for the gifts and other items purchased during the trip. The luggage inside and outside is made of high-quality materials and feels very sturdy. The wheels roll smoothly. The well thought zipper design makes it very easy to zip it open and close. The zippers can be secured with a TSA approved lock. Overall, the outside design is very sleek looking. Its empty weight is on the lighter side as well.

The expandable feature allows me to slim down the suitcase when I don't need as much space, but expand for longer family trips. The expandable feature is especially great for traveling back home after a long vacation with souvenirs. I love how the Tumi Ventra Large fits into my van with both my single and double strollers in tow. I went from having to take 2-3 suitcases for a family of four to just this one! I can easily fit clothing for the entire family for five nights, with the addition of items such as a pillow and pumping supplies. The suitcase is both practical and high-end with features including several zip pockets, zip divider, laundry bag and AirTag pocket. The Tumi Ventra is durable, allowing me to feel at ease when traveling through the airport. I love how easy it is to negotiate crowded areas due to the Tumi's smooth maneuvering. The wheels glide with no difficulty whatsoever. I cannot wait to continue traveling with the Tumi Ventra!
