Pretty color Weird fit Tight in all the wrong places -Will be returning

I tried this dress on today and really loved it. Excited to wear it this weekend, it is lightweight, but the lining and fabric make it sturdy feeling. I am 5'5 1/2", 140lbs, athletic build, but carry a little weight in my tummy. There is something slimming about this dress! Well tailored! I ordered my normal size 6. I sometimes have to size up to an 8 and considered doing it with this one because it fit *just right* in the bust. But everything else fit great, and a little hidden safety pin to secure the closure in between buttons satisfied this concern (which I have to do in any button up dress anyway)

I look forward to wearing this purple seersucker dress in several weeks. The material is a blend, not cotton as usual seeesucker is. It’s slicker and a little thinner and may be easy to wrinkle. Care instructions say to use a warm iron, but this may be an item for the dry cleaners. The length is appropriate for all ages, I’m only 5’5”, and 60 years old. It’s nice to have a long sleeve for the coverage. The sizing may run slightly small, so if in between sizes, the larger size will be your choice. I wear a size 4 in a similar cotton dress from UnTuckit.
