[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the dual mode may feel like a gimmick - it isn't. In native mode the screen has a pretty high pixel density at 218 PPI. I was using a generic 27 inch monitor prior to this one and the difference is quite visible when using VS code and lightroom. In QHD mode - the panel runs at 360 Hz and it is a completely different experience. In CS2, the difference was quite noticeable with no smeared trails across the screen, thanks to the 1ms fast GtG. Great for color and viewing angles. HDR is okay, but not bad at all. The difference is only noticeable in a dark room where blacks can sometimes read as dark grey, but most other times it is fine. OLED will definitely outshine where, but that's not what this monitor was meant to deliver. Generous with ports - 2 HDMI 2.1, 2 USB type-A and a separate headphone port. The stand is pretty sturdy that allows height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot quite easily. Overall, a pretty solid monitor for someone who doesn't want the hassle of 2 separate monitors. An easy buy recommendation from me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a massive monitor upgrade for me, coming from an older flagship display from nearly 10 years ago! The text clarity and sharpness on this Samsung G80HF are astounding thanks to the 218 PPI. For daily productivity, reading, and pure visual crispness, it does not disappoint. I had been reluctant to upgrade because getting high refresh rates alongside this level of pixel density simply wasn't available until recently especially jumping up from my old 108 PPI display. The matte screen finish is also a huge plus for my setup. Harsh reflections and glare from surrounding lights tend to cause eye strain and subtle headaches during long desk sessions, so having a properly treated matte screen makes daily use much more comfortable. I mostly play ARPGs like Path of Exile, PoE 2, and Diablo. While those games don't strictly require competitive esports frame rates, the visual smoothness and detail at native 5K 180Hz are fantastic. When pushing full 5K is too heavy on the GPU, the built in Dual Mode makes it easy to drop down to 1440p to take full advantage of the 360Hz refresh rate. It isn't an automatic switch, but once dialed in, flipping between modes using the rear OSD joystick is straightforward. It feels well set up for future GPUs as well. One practical detail worth noting is that the monitor uses an external power brick rather than a direct internal power cord. Depending on how you manage cable routing under your desk, that's something to keep in mind. Overall, I am really happy with this upgrade and would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 5K resolution is a definitive upgrade from 4K, delivering such high pixel density that individual pixels are completely indistinguishable during normal use. Combined with the high refresh rate, this monitor is exceptional for gaming. Motion clarity is drastically improved compared to my previous 4K display, making fast-paced shooters feel incredibly smooth and responsive without noticeable ghosting. Backlight bleeding is also practically non-existent, which is a massive improvement over my last panel. Beyond gaming, the sharp text clarity have also improved my daily productivity. Everyday internet browsing has been more enjoyable than before. To achieve the maximum 5K at 180Hz, a high-end GPU is an absolute necessity. With my current setup using DisplayPort 1.4a, I was able to achieve a stable 120Hz, which still feels remarkably fluid for both daily use and intensive tasks. While I opted for a VESA mount to free up desk space and achieve a cleaner setup, the included monitor stand looks very well-made and sturdy. Overall, I am very happy with this monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to test this out in Call of Duty and Rocket League. More so in Rocket League. I noticed quite an improvement over my curved 2k 240 Hz VA panel. The colors on the Fast IPS are so much better at wider viewing angles. I'm not sure if it is the flat panel or the increase to 360 Hz, but I was hitting shots in Rocket League I've never been able to before and I felt like I had so much more time in the air since the motion was smoother. For 5k I could notice it was slightly sharper but there isn't much detail in Rocket League. For Call of Duty I could notice quite a difference, but the frame rates I was getting with my 5080 at 5k was not good enough for a competitive shooter, so I switched back to 2k 360 hz. Maybe if I ever play a game like Black Myth: Wukong, I'd switch to 5k. My limit at 2k was about 240 hz, so in order to get more frames to test out I used Nvidia's frame regen. The motion was really smooth but I prefer to have a native resolution than a gimmick. Overall, this is a fantastic monitor and I'm very happy with my purchase. Maybe Samsung will make a gaming monitor in the future that isn't OLED and faster than 360 Hz. I'd probably get that one too.

When working from home, I often spend hours programming or creating documents, and the small laptop screen would make my eyes tired. I knew the display was the main reason, so I started looking for a monitor with at least 4K resolution that would be easier on my eyes. This monitor is exactly what I was looking for. The large screen gives me much more space to work, which makes multitasking much easier. The high pixel density (218 PPI) makes text look very sharp with almost no jagged edges, and the IPS panel keeps colors consistent, making it more comfortable to look at for long periods. It also has a Flicker Free brightness control feature, which adjusts brightness without using low-frequency PWM backlight flickering. This makes it much easier on my eyes, and I can work for longer without feeling as much eye strain. A 5K display with a 180Hz refresh rate is more than I need for work, but scrolling, moving the mouse cursor, and dragging windows all feel very smooth. There's almost no noticeable motion blur, so everything feels comfortable to use. Overall, this is an excellent monitor, and I highly recommend it.

This monitor looks amazing and I highly recommend it. These games have incredibly detailed characters, environments, and visual effects, and on this monitor everything looks even sharper and more detailed than on a standard 4K display. The extra detail really helps with immersion. The Fast IPS panel is another big plus. Skin tones look natural, and bright areas are clear and easy to see without looking washed out or uncomfortable. I haven't noticed any strange colors or anything that feels off. In combat, especially during endgame content, I rotate the camera constantly. Thanks to the 180Hz refresh rate, camera movement is extremely smooth. The Fast IPS panel also keeps motion blur to a minimum, and visual effects stay clear instead of smearing together, so the overall experience is very satisfying. Even if your PC can't handle games at 5K, the Dual Mode feature lets you switch to a high-speed QHD (2560×1440) mode, which makes the monitor much more versatile. I also like the physical control button. Instead of having several buttons that are easy to press by mistake, it uses a single clickable button, which makes navigating the menu simple and convenient. Overall, I'm very happy with this monitor and would definitely recommend it.
