Have not used it yet but had time to examine it very close and certainly not too impressed by it. How it felt in my hands, how it looks as far as craftsmanship, it looked cheap, it looked produced in massive scale where no personal touch or care was taken. I even doubt all those pictures they showed of people working on ovens creating craft out of bare metal, probably fake. But I see what I have in front of me and it ain’t Rosie smells, just an opinion, still got to use it and that’s another story. .

Absolutely Love It!! With precise slicing, no struggling with Sourdough bread or any other type. As a matter of fact, after hand washing, I've nicked my finger (like a paper cut) that I have to remind myself take your time and be careful. I love the Shun products and have never been disappointed. Thank you.

I just bought mine this past holiday, but I bought the peaces that I felt I would use the most! Bread knife was one. This knife is extremely sharp not only for the looks, but for the sharp clean cut it makes when cutting bread. I did a comparison on YouTube to my old 13yr old knives I had when my wife and I got married and it had teeth were this serrated edge for cutting has smooth edges to let it do the work for you. With this sharp bread knife you will turn heads in the kitchen for sure and be amazed how easy it cuts.

Wasn't sure how all that extra blade depth was going to do for me, but when it comes to cutting nice even slices of various artisan breads it makes all the difference! Glides right through deep crusts, doesn't distort or bend the soft parts. Just, EASY.

Top of the line...Best there is. I work in an upscale restaurant and I let a coworker, who I trusted, use my Shun bread knife for some focaccia and sourdough work. He came up to me afterwards and said.... Whatever you paid for this knife, it was not enough... it's like Heaven slicing any bread...one stroke and done.

Every time I get a Shun blade/product, I expect a great knife. Somehow, my expectations are always exceeded!
