I love this item its the perfect get together chip and dip. The luxurious acacia wood makes this chip and dip dish from Nambe's a must get. The metal alloy makes a great addition, it also maintains the temperature of whatever snack you put in it. It’s a perfect addition to your serve-ware. Derek

This chip and dip serving platter is perfect. The bowl lifts out and you can use it on its own or with the wooden base and put food around it. The Nambe directions say to use a little bit of vegetable oil to coat the silver bowl to protect it before you put in any dips. I would also make sure to look and see if it can handle acidity from dips as well, but I am sure the coating of oil helps this. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves to entertain or plans to in the future.
