I have quite a few selections from the artesano line including several of the acacia wood pieces. The workmanship of this piece is below the others, which is why the 4-star rating. The slate platforms are really nice, although some of the serving dish options shown don't really sit that well on them due to the size of the dish vs. the platform. I've made my own rubber drawer liner mats for some of my favorite serving dishes and wood boards in order to anchor them to the slate/wood frame around the slate. If you are using it for display and not for serving food, the mats wouldn't be needed. The slate pieces themselves are pretty short, so depending on what type and quantity of food you're serving, you do need to add dishes/boards on top of the slate and they need to be quite narrow to fit. I'm so happy that I finally have this particular stand as I've admired it for a long time and had never seen it for as good a price as on Macy's.

It is a nice stand but it is VERY expensive for what it is. Having studied the description, pictures and reviews carefully, I thought it came with the bowls. It doesn't. It therefore went back.

Bought as a gift and was disappointed to find it had arrived in a very damaged box. Not the quality I would expect for the price. The product itself is nice and as pictured.

I have long admired this item and finally purchased one. It is poorly stained and does not belong on display. I complained and V&B resolved the issue to my satisfaction. It's a shame because if more attention were paid this product could look just like the picture.

My husband and I wanted to register for dinnerware, but couldn't find anything which had clean lines but also didn't feel too flimsy. This was the perfect compromise between his modern aesthetic and my wish for something more rustic/farmhouse-y. We've been using the set everyday for the past few months and have had no issues with chipping. They are more of an off-white/cream than a true white (which we loved) and we especially like the pasta bowl, which we use for salads and everything that have sauces (Indian, Chinese, Italian of course).

I love this for my smaller table. I can go up rather than sprawl bowls on the table. My space is limited. Fun and nice quality. I got the bowls too and they fit perfectly on the tiers.

Highly functional and efficient, from the bowls to the plates. Beautiful warm white color, not ivory, not cream, just a warm white. Unsurpassed quality as well. Highly recommended!
