Used this knife as my main "chef" knife in the french resturant I worked in as a sous chef for over 10 years. Now using it at home, and it is still perfect. Best knife i've ever owned

We love this Shun knife. It is a classic size for a reason - it is the "go-to" knife in the block all week long. It hones quickly, slides through its various tasks smoothly, and fits the hand well. Its very beauty lifts the task of preparing meals.

The blade chipped within a week of normal use.

Had to replace the knives the bf walked with. Always wanted one of these and I like it. It doesn't replace a chef's knife, but it is a nice complement.

I have several shun knives, both classic and sora - the profile of the santoku is excellent for my main use , which is vegetable prep. It will probably become my go to knife.

I gave this knife to my neighbor as a gift and they love it! They also have the Classic Chef's knife , which I gave them a couple of years ago. These knives are amazing to use and really does shorten the time it takes to slice, dice and chop all sorts of foods. To anyone who is looking for the best all around knives, these are by far the BEST. You will not be disappointed. Only sad that you didn't try them sooner!!

This is the same knife we’ve had since 2005!! I got another so I can I send 1 out to be sharpened. DAILY use- so happy/ new one is razor sharp and old one is still awesome. Good value for money I think!
