Simply put— yes! I play Ultimate Frisbee [UF], and I've tried just about every max cushion cleat I could find over the years. Turns out baseball cleats have the best cushioning, but most of them are unusable due to the spikes being too long for the quick cuts, starts, and stops in UF. The spike length on the Compv4 Energy's are similar to the spike length on soccer and football cleats— perfect for UF. I fell in love with the Compv3 which had a thick, full length FuelCell insole and what seemed like a thin FreshFoam midsole. The Compv4 Energy have a thinner full length FuelCell insole but a more substantial FreshFoamX midsole. The cushioning is indistinguishable from the Compv3. The v4 Energy have a significantly lighter upper and are much more breathable due to an innovative tongue design compared the v3. These are so good, I bought a second pair! At Joe's $60 price, how could I not?

The cleats are comfortable but are not durable. The spikes have worn down significantly (and more so than other New Balance cleats) in only 2 months of use by a 12 year old.
