Great waterproof and high top version of my favorite daily hiker runner

I’ve been a NB customer since the 1980s. They’re the best athletic shoes available.

Very comfortable love them. I bought another pair to the most comfortable sneakers I ever had in years.

I recently used the Hierro Hikers on a 5 day hike of the northern portion of the West Highland Way in Scotland. It happened to be an unusually dry stretch of weather for Scotland, so I didn't fully put the Gore-Tex to the test, but allow me to sing the praises of the Fresh Foam cushioning. For anyone who experiences foot pain when dealing with a more rigid sole, these are the perfect antidote. I found other hiking boots to be too stiff and rigid, these had the perfect combo of plush cushioning beneath my foot with the grip needed for the loose rock section of the trail. I couldn't be more happy with my choice of these hikers, and was able to travel almost 60 miles in 5 days with next to no foot pain. I couldn't ask for anything better than that.

Awesome Shoes, great wide fit, no break in period, just pure comfort right out of the box. Hard to find gore Tex tennis shoes, please make more! When you’re hiking, working, or just out and about it’s nice to know my feet won’t get wet.

Love the shoe/boot. Sizing is true to size and for a cushioned shoe it’s has just the right amount of cushion. Honestly, my only complaint is the limited color. Sorry, but this white color is not made for hiking in dirty environments. The shoes were totally brown with dirt and dust after my first hike. How about a color like a Nubuck Leather to match what the shoe is used for. Honestly, who came up with this color?
