While excellent quality and a handsome pair of boots, these booties fail to meet expectations for multiple reasons. First, and most compelling, is that the top of the bootie rubs my ankle and is very uncomfortable. For this price they need to be a perfect fit. Second, the color is darker than I want. I wish manufacturers would stick to understandable colors rather than get all hip with terms like Cuero. What the heck color is cuero? Cuero just means leather in Spanish. Third, they are not easy to pull on. The pull tab needs to be bigger and easier to grasp. I’m an indoor-outdoor girl and I want something I can quickly pull on for my frequent forays outdoors. Fourth, the color is darker than I am looking for. I think it looks somewhat lighter in the pictures than in real life. I wish manufacturers would just stick to understandable names for their colors. What the heck is cuero? Cuero just means leather in Spanish. I would call this color mahogany. Fifth, they are warm boots, and I live in the desert and need something more lightweight. Lastly, and sadly, they just aren’t as flattering as I was hoping for. I’m looking for a bootie that looks stylish with slim jeans and leggings and unfortunately these look a bit clunky on me. In spite of my dissatisfaction, I want to repeat that they are handsome, well made boots with very comfortable soles and wide toe box. I’d say the excellent quality is worth the price, but regrettably, they just aren’t right for me. Back they go.
